A standout example is this landmark project in Oman, where a 400-kilovolt prefabricated substation has been successfully energized. The facility was pieced together on-site from 24 standardized functional modules designed, manufactured, and tested in China. This modular approach has dramatically shortened construction time compared to traditional substations. The solution provider, based in east China's Shandong Province, says robust overseas demand has helped drive a 30-percent year-on-year increase in project deliveries in the first half. A traditional substation of this scale would typically take one and a half to two years to complete. In the first half of this year, Shandong Province exported nearly 4 billion U.S. dollars worth of electrical machinery and equipment, a year-on-year increase of 9.3 percent.
