Storyline Chinese metal 3D printing devices accelerate overseas expansion Chinese industrial-grade metal 3D printing devices are soldering a foothold in overseas markets, leveraging competitive pricing, shorter delivery times and a complete supply chain. This 3D printing company in east China's Suzhou City is ramping up production to meet overseas demand. The company has expanded into the Middle East, Central Asia and Europe, with order volumes continuing to climb. Li Daofen, Deputy general manager, Suzhou XDM 3D Printing Technology Co., Ltd.: "Overseas orders have for the first time surpassed domestic ones, accounting for nearly 60 percent of the total. We have jointly built a printing center in Saudi Arabia with our partner to serve customers in the Middle East and Europe." Another metal 3D printing company in east China has expanded their export model from selling individual machines to also offering equipment components, software, and technical services. The company says the country's sprawling industrial ecosystem has given them a competitive edge in overseas markets. Last year, their metal 3D printing exports reached nearly 30 million U.S. dollars. Xiao Chong, Production manager, east China base, Kings 3D: "In overseas markets, we focus on micron-level ultra-high-precision equipment. Comparable foreign products typically take three months or longer to deliver. With our production capacity we can usually deliver in about one month, which significantly shortens customers' time to production." Data shows that exports of China's metal 3D printing equipment rose 76 percent year on year in the first half of 2026, with the bulk of growth coming from Asia and Europe.
