Storyline Beijing expands fitness options with smart sports parks The city of Beijing has installed high-tech exercise equipment in public parks to create a free "15 minute fitness circle" for residents. This park in the Chaoyang District features a 900-meter running track with 10 cameras to capture runners’ workout data. The park also has interactive bikes connected to screens that allow multi-player races. Liu Fuyan, deputy directorof park: "Public demand for sports and fitness facilities continues to grow. We are working to create a comprehensive park built on a green landscape ecosystem, catering to diverse populations while integrating smart technology, recreation, sports, and fitness into one."
