The shortages follow 42 days of blockades organized by social groups and the Bolivian Workers' Central (COB), which are demanding the resignation of President Rodrigo Paz. Footage showed vehicles stretching for blocks outside fuel stations, while residents waited in long lines to purchase gasoline and food supplies. The disruptions have affected both La Paz and neighboring El Alto, where restrictions on transport routes have complicated the delivery of essential goods. Scenes from the Bolivian capital also showed reduced activity at the city's bus terminal as fuel shortages and road blockades continued to impact transportation and daily life.
