now if we look at this key and we'll see
0:02
that we can do a lot of things with it
0:05
the usual panic button unlock and lock
0:08
click this twice and the rear gate goes
0:10
up click this twice and the engine
0:12
starts remotely if no doors are open
0:15
click this one twice in the
0:17
left hand driver side sliding door opens
0:19
and this one is for the passenger side
0:22
now if we open up the driver's side door
0:25
what happens is that the
0:28
flashers will actually blink the hazard
0:30
flashers
0:31
to warn people that somebody might be
0:33
coming out
0:34
and that's actually a very clever and i
0:36
think desirable thing to do
0:39
up above although you can't see it in
0:40
this frame are the same
0:43
uh items
0:45
with the left
0:47
rear and right hand doors opening and
0:49
also the
0:50
second row windows can be open from
0:52
there
0:53
now let's put the ignition key in notice
0:56
no actual physical key
0:59
so we put the key in
1:02
let's just move it to accessory and
1:03
we'll look at my gig
1:07
and we can actually watch the dvd if and
1:10
we have to do this every time
1:12
if we press modes and then dvd player
1:16
so that we can get the dvd sound even if
1:19
we were just watching a video we have to
1:21
do that to get the sound over the
1:23
speakers
1:24
and click on view video
1:27
and as long as we're parked we can
1:28
actually view the movie
1:34
however we can't really control from
1:36
here we have to use
1:37
the remote
1:38
control we're not going to do that now
1:43
we can also go
1:45
actually play the disc that's in the cd
1:47
player
1:49
look at the jukebox
1:52
which is currently empty
1:54
or go into the hard drive which reacts
1:58
practically instantly
2:01
which is very nice indeed
2:04
and we have the usual audio controls
2:08
three levels of
2:10
bass treble and mid-range
2:14
we can play the hard drive
2:17
randomly
2:18
we can repeat tracks
2:20
we can uh if you get the right option
2:22
you can even
2:23
control an ipod through it through this
2:25
usb port
2:27
what you can't do
2:30
is you cannot fill up the hard drive
2:32
from an ipod you can play an ipod using
2:35
this usb port
2:38
but you can't actually
2:41
fill up the hard drive from your ipod
2:44
you can however fill it up from a
2:45
generic mp3 player and it will save your
2:48
files in windows media format
2:52
if you want to
2:54
use this dvd
2:57
you put it in like so
3:01
and the system shuts off while you do it
3:02
so don't do it while your kids are
3:03
watching a movie
3:05
the uconnect controls are right here
3:10
and that's pretty much it for the stereo
3:14
you'll notice over here we have the
3:15
shifter
3:16
what's interesting about the shifter
3:19
is that it doesn't actually have any
3:21
markings on it you can either watch the
3:23
pringle that's in the
3:24
gauge cluster or just go by feel
3:29
park reverse neutral drive is all the
3:31
way down here and as usual
3:33
for the post mercedes chrysler's
3:36
knock it to the right to go up the gear
3:38
knock it to the left to go up the gear
3:40
and if you keep knocking it to the right
3:41
it'll go back into drive
3:45
and generally speaking the six-speed
3:46
automatic doesn't need you to do any of
3:48
that nonsense
3:51
now if you can see this down here
3:54
this is the new corporate
3:56
climate control system uh in this case
3:59
adapted to have three different zones
4:01
and this is actually standard on this
4:02
vehicle
4:04
so
4:04
you can turn the temperature up or down
4:06
for the driver
4:08
for the passenger
4:09
for the rear
4:11
and if you decide that everybody should
4:13
do exactly what you do you press sync
4:15
and they all go together
4:19
press sync again and they don't
4:21
and there is the usual automatic
4:24
which takes everything into its own
4:25
hands
