Differential Pressure Sensors

Mar 19, 2026
Differential Pressure (DP) sensors are widely used for level measurement by utilizing the hydrostatic pressure principle. The pressure exerted by a liquid column is directly proportional to its height, so by measuring the pressure difference between two points—typically the bottom of the tank (high-pressure side) and the top or reference point (low-pressure side)—the liquid level can be accurately determined. In open tanks, the low-pressure side is exposed to atmosphere, while in closed tanks it is connected to the vapor space. DP transmitters are highly reliable, suitable for both open and closed vessels, and commonly used in industries like oil & gas, chemical, and water treatment for continuous level monitoring. ✨ FOLLOW US ✨ 👉WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaAbUecLNSa4rDPOV31o 👉Telegram: https://t.me/+u3qORX5FKec1NjA1 👉Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/instrumentationtools/ 👉Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/instrumentationtoolss/ 👉LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/instrumentationtools/ 👉YouTube: https://youtube.com/instrumentationtools?sub_confirmation=1 👉JOIN Courses: https://automationcommunity.com/ #DifferentialPressure #LevelMeasurement #DPSensor #Instrumentation #ProcessControl #PressureTransmitter #IndustrialAutomation #ProcessInstrumentation #ControlSystems #Engineering Tags: Differential pressure sensors, DP level measurement, level measurement using DP transmitter, hydrostatic level measurement, tank level measurement, closed tank level measurement, open tank level measurement, DP transmitter working principle, level measurement instrumentation, industrial level measurement, pressure level measurement method, level sensors, process instrumentation, DP level calculation, wet leg dry leg system, liquid level measurement techniques, instrumentation engineering
