Sabrina Carpenter Gets Restraining Order Against Her Stalker
Jun 3, 2026
Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man she claims repeatedly stalked her Los Angeles home.
Court filings say William Applegate allegedly tried to force his way into Carpenter's property and returned on two further occasions.
A judge granted a temporary order requiring him to stay 100 yards away from Carpenter, her household, her car, and her workplace.
Carpenter said in a signed declaration that the incidents left her in "significant and ongoing fear" for her personal safety.
During a "deeply alarming" recent incident, Carpenter claims he reached her front door and tried to open it before being arrested by police.
She wrote that Applegate told the police that "he personally knew me and that I was expecting him,” adding that, "this was a complete lie."
Applegate is due in criminal court later this month to hear charges over his arrest for criminal trespassing.
