Buy it now via https://bit.ly/2v6Vp56 This morning task is to come up with a believable estimate of the number of pairs made. I did a bit of scouting in the past few days and most major and minor retailers have the shoes listed on their calendar. It isn’t a surprise if you consider Nike’s Edit To Amplify campaign along with the fact that the Jordan 11 silhouette ( usually the high tops) are the most coveted ones in sneaker world. Hello guys, this is Taiv from House of Cakes.com
0:04
Another show on this evening. On Friday, April 19, the Jordan 11
0:12
Snake Skin Lois coming out. So, my task on this evening is to try to figure out how many
0:18
pairs were made. Now to do that, I'm going to lean on some assumptions that I created myself
0:23
So, everything that I say here is basically derived from our own subjective
0:29
assumptions so don't take this as the absolute truth I'm just creating
0:34
assumptions to give you a number an estimate of the number that might have been produced all right so to do that let me share my screen and we're gonna go
0:42
from there so that's the first step there's to that so we're gonna go on now
0:48
here and first let's look at the shoe now the shoe came out originally in 2001
0:54
you can actually go on Nike's website and read the entire information it came on
0:59
in 2001 and now they're bringing it back again and it's almost like the exact replica of the shoe all right and what you have on the overlays is some kind of a snake skin like leather is probably synthetic I haven't seen the shoes face of face so I can't tell you much about it on the outside what you have is a
1:18
translucent rubber outsole and you have your carbon fiber and the jump man on the bottom now I'm not a fan of the Jordan low top so I'm not going to be grabbing these but I know a lot of people
1:29
people want them. And I mean, it's more power to you. I feel like the 185 is too much
1:36
But Nike is going to try to explain it by the inflation and all the changes in the market
1:42
So with that say, let's jump into the prediction. So I'm going to read it off my website
1:48
So in case you want to go back and read more, you can just click on housecakes.com and it's the second article on the main page
1:55
Now, the first thing we want to do is this. We always want to make sure we know
1:59
who's getting the shoe. And when I looked, when I did my scouting
2:04
everybody getting there like champs foot locker food action finish line Jimmy Jaws downtown locker room Shoo City City Gear I mean all these places are getting it So everyone is getting it
2:17
So that means these are massively produced. All right? So to find my number, I'm going to just base it on these assumptions
2:24
I'm going to assume that Foot Locker and the derivatives of Foot Locker, which are Champs, Foot Action, and Finish and East Bay are going to get about one-fourth of the total inventory
2:35
So if Nike made $4,000 in total, Foot Locker and Champs and all that are going to get about $1,000
2:42
That's what I'm trying to say by it. I'm explaining what it means. Okay. Now, the next thing we want to do is this
2:48
We want to figure out how many pairs each store is getting
2:52
So I put it at 18 to be more safe. And the shoe is going to be based on the app
2:57
Reservation is not first camp first served. So that means it's a little bit limited as far as like how many numbers
3:04
the stores are getting. So I'm thinking 18 is a good number. And I'm also assuming that foot action and champs are going to get about 12 per per per store
3:12
Now, if you want to double check that, you can go on our Footlogger's website and just type your region
3:16
This is the Foot Locker USA Maps. I mean, every one of the stores are going to get it
3:21
It's like loaded. That's an invasion of Jordan 11 over here. You can see that, right
3:27
Now, I'll live in this on the zip code. So I'm going to type it in here and it tells me who's getting it
3:33
So these locations are getting it. And there's a lot of people like it
3:37
Foot action is the same way, a bunch of stores and then champs the same way
3:42
Now let's go back on the article. So I'm assuming that all these people are getting it
3:47
and I'm thinking we're gonna find our numbers now by just doing some simple multiplication
3:53
So for the physical stores, for foot lockers, since we have a thousand foot lockers
3:58
we're gonna do 1000 times 18. For champ it's gonna be 570 times 12
4:03
For foot action, 270 times 12. And the total is 28,080 pairs
4:08
And then we're going to try to figure out how many shoes the online allocation, our online locations are getting
4:15
And we just going to do 28 divided about 4 720 which is right here And then we can we can try to figure out what East Bay is getting I assuming that East Bay is going to get about a one of everything everybody else is getting as far as like Foot Locker family
4:30
There's going to be 720, 720 divided by 4, 1755. And now to find a grand total from Footlogger
4:38
we're just going to add up all these numbers, which I'll get over here. So 28,080 plus 7,020 plus 1755, we get 36,000
4:47
86,855 pairs. That's just a footlocker. And to find a grand total, we're just going to do 36,855 times four
4:57
And we came up to 147,420, or if you want to be, you want to kind of stretch it a little bit, 150,000 pairs
5:08
Now, like I said, every one of my calculation is based on my own assumptions
5:15
I'm just trying to give you an idea. This is not a reflection of reality
5:19
So take this and trying to do your own math if you want. Now, what's the market value
5:24
I went on eBay and I checked it. Now, again, before I do that, I just want to make some clear
5:31
Like, there's been like a disruption in the market. A lot of places now, a lot of people are buying stuff from like goat or stock X
5:38
because they offer some kind of security when you buy shoes on their platform
5:43
So there's been like a shift in the market. A lot of the hype sneakers are being bought of Goode and Stock X, and that's going to happen more and more
5:50
And I actually wrote an article because now Goat is actually targeting like the smaller, the under retail stuff
6:00
So that's something to read too. You can go on the website and you can click on that and read the article
6:05
Now, when I checked on eBay, I found out that 205 pairs were sold for 258 to be like
6:14
more precise and then 23 pairs were sold for 240 and then 27 pairs were sold for
6:21
250 285 dollars three pairs sold and a 287 pairs were sold and then based on the numbers above the current market value on eBay is 251 that like a 28 markup and not taking into consideration eBay PayPal and shipping fees or if you
6:42
trying to buy this to flip good luck you're not going to get that kind of money for
6:46
it now sizes 12 and 14 are going for more money because obviously they are scarce
6:50
right and on stock X the average sale price is 232 so I will say to you if you
6:57
reseller leave the shoes alone and let people that actually want the shoe get it all right that's it now the other day when I was writing the article
7:05
before I wrote it I'm gonna show you this real quick this is like I found
7:14
fake bears and it's weird because the fake press that I found they had a stock
7:21
X card on it the tag on it and they also came out with a QR code which is huge
7:27
because bootlegers are actually still on the top of the game. But if you scroll down, I don't have an authentic way to do a side by side
7:33
So I just want to warn you. You want to go back and check this on my website. I can click on the link again
7:38
It's right there. So I'm just trying to warn you. If you go here, this is the fixed box label
7:44
You can see that. I mean, look at this here. Jordan 11, 11 retro low, L.E
7:50
It's all like one words. That right there is like a good indication that this is bootleg
7:55
Thank you. All right, and now, this is the funny thing. They came with a QR code
8:00
So I want to know if when you scan this, what happens
8:04
That's gonna be a big, big, big deal. Okay, and then you also wanna look at a production date
8:09
If you see anybody on eBay or anywhere selling you a shoe and it fits these characteristics, stay away from it
8:16
All right? You stay away from it. Don't buy it. Maybe later on, I'm gonna do an article on actual comparison
8:22
But for now, this is what I have. And if you want to buy authentic pairs
8:27
there's a bunch of eBay sellers that I gave you here that are like pretty legitimate
8:31
You can buy it from there, all right? This is all I have to sell you today, guys
8:34
So stay tuned for my stuff and this is how some kicks
