The Chibi News Daily Reflection
0:04
I'm Mike, a vicar in the Church of England. Today we remember heroic virtue
0:13
Men and women who've given their lives for our protection. Now it's true that they fought for high ideals, justice, freedom, equality
0:23
But when all is said and done, the deeper motivation is love
0:28
love for a country, love for a sweetheart, for a child, for parents, for friends
0:34
In the words of one World War II serviceman to his wife, I toiled to rid this world of the Nazi tyranny which threatened you and our children
0:46
It is fitting that across the UK and Commonwealth today, we pay tribute to these heroic sacrifices in the context of Christian worship
0:54

1:11

1:20

1:27
than to lay down his life for his friends. We will remember them
1:33
even as we remember him
