The Chibi News Daily Reflection

Hello, my name is Nimsa Brunga and I'm the pastor of Freedom's Ark and member of the Evangelical Alliance here in the Tottenham Town Hall

In Luke chapter 17, verse 11 to 19, we learn lessons from the ten lepers who cry out to Jesus for mercy
0:22
He hears them, heals them, but only one returns to give thanks
0:26
The first lesson is acceptance. The ten lepers were outcasts, living on society's margins
0:34
Jesus' encounter reminds us that God's view is different. When the world sees rejection
0:40
God sees dignity. All who are marginalised are embraced and given hope. The second is forgiveness
0:47
Their healing also points to forgiveness. God's acceptance extends beyond social exclusion
0:52
It touches our heart, releasing people from shame and fear. As Harry Noah once said, forgiveness is not an occasional act
1:00
It's a constant attitude. The third is restoration. Healing is not just about health
1:05
It is restoration. It reconnects the lepers to community, to faith and life itself
1:10
God restores what society sees as broken, making lives whole again. And the final is gratitude
1:17
Notice the response. Only one returned to express thanks. Our response to God's gift is meant to be gratitude, not entitlement
1:26
This story reminds us that our response to grace must always be thanksgiving
1:31
Let us pray. God of mercy, you accept the rejected. You forgive the guilty
1:37
You restore the broken. Teach us to live in gratitude that we may not just be healed
1:44
but we may find wholeness in you. Amen
