hello guys soft Tony here and in today's
0:03
tutorial we will be creating a twisted
0:05
text animation step by step Here and
0:07
After Effects in this video you will
0:09
learn how to create a modern technique
0:11
to create this cool animation and before
0:14
we get started please subscribe to my
0:16
channel hit the like button and turn on
0:18
the notification Bell so you don't miss
0:20
any of my upcoming videos so let's get
0:23
started with this school
0:37
we're here in After Effects and first
0:39
like always let's create a new
0:41
composition hit on this little icon or
0:43
controll or command plus n this is going
0:45
to be final like usual and for the width
0:48
and height let's go 90/20 x 1080 and for
0:51
the duration let's go somewhere around
0:52
10 second you can also type your own
0:55
number it's pretty much up to you hit
0:57
okay and now let's create the background
0:59
go right click find here new solid layer
1:01
this is going to be background of course
1:04
also full HD and then hit okay our next
1:07
step is to go here on the effects and
1:09
preset and if you can find effects and
1:11
preset option just go window and you
1:12
will find effects and presets here okay
1:15
for the first effect let's go ramp and
1:18
then drag and drop onto the background
1:19
solid layer for the start of the ramp go
1:22
upper left corner for the end of the
1:23
ramp lower right corner and now let's
1:26
change colors for the first color let's
1:30
90 CD this is going to be this type of
1:34
pink color or this purple color hit okay
1:37
and for the second color let's type
1:40
0036 FF and now as you can see we have
1:43
this cool gradient from this purple to
1:46
this cool blue color now hit okay go
1:49
here in the effects and pres again find
1:51
CC Treads effect drag and drop onto the
1:54
solid layer again and here let's make
1:56
further adjustments for the width and
2:00
okay cool and for the overlaps let's
2:04
170 and let's also change this coverage
2:07
shadowing and texture option for this
2:09
first one this is going to be 95 for the
2:12
shadowing let's go to around 80 and for
2:14
the texture instead of this 15 type here
2:17
zero and this is it for this CC dreads
2:20
effect now let's close this effects
2:22
control hit control+ D this background
2:24
solid layer or go edit and then
2:26
duplicate and let's change blending mode
2:28
from normal to overlay and if you can
2:30
find blending modes hit here toggle
2:32
switches and modes and you will find
2:34
this overlay option okay now it's time
2:37
to create our text hit control+ t or go
2:40
on this little icon as you can see I'm
2:42
using this fol font here for the text
2:45
size go to around 300 and I will just
2:48
type my random text this is going to be
2:50
Ultra Modern okay and then align it to
2:53
the center if you can find align option
2:55
also go window and you will find align
2:57
option here now let's go and select this
3:00
Ultra Modern text go right click and
3:02
then go to create and let's select this
3:04
option create shapes from text and as
3:07
you can see now we have this ultramodern
3:09
outlines Now open up this Little
3:11
Triangle and then go to add find here
3:14
twist option and as you can see our
3:17
outline text has been divided to each
3:19
individual letter by itself okay now
3:22
open up this twist one option set up the
3:25
play head to zero frames and also let's
3:28
create first key frame for the angle
3:30
and then go to around 2 seconds or so
3:32
and let's type here 500 okay now let's
3:36
also go one frame ahead okay to around 2
3:39
seconds and one frame and let's also
3:42
click this little icon to create another
3:44
key frame and then go to around 4
3:47
seconds or so and let's click again here
3:51
and type also 10 and when we hit zero we
3:54
have this basic animation of our Twisted
3:57
text here is 10 and those two key frames
4:00
500 okay and for this last one also 10
4:05
now select everything go right click key
4:08
frame assistance and then click here on
4:10
this option Easy E or F9 on your
4:12
keyboard then open up this graph editor
4:15
and draw a curve like this but before if
4:17
you can find curve like this just go
4:19
right click and select this option edit
4:23
speed graph okay now let's draw a curve
4:26
this okay and now here when we hit zero
4:31
we have this cool looking animation of
4:34
our Ultra Modern text now hit W to show
4:37
all of the key frames again or once you
4:40
and select key frames okay hit ctrl+ C
4:44
to copy and then go to around 4 seconds
4:46
and one frame and hit ctrl+ V to paste
4:49
it and then let's also go to 8 seconds
4:53
or somewhere around here move one frame
4:55
ahead and then hit control+ V again you
4:58
can also type here expression Loop out
5:00
ping pong but I found that this option
5:02
is looking better here with our Twisted
5:05
text okay now let's hit zero to see our
5:12
looking and for me this is looking
5:15
really awesome all right our next step
5:18
is to duplicate this Ultra Modern
5:20
outlines but before that let's change
5:22
name this is going to be Ultra Modern
5:24
main okay and then hit control+ D or go
5:27
edit and then duplicate and this is
5:29
going to be ultramodern 2 let's rename
5:31
it then go here in the facts and preset
5:34
and find fill effect drag and drop onto
5:37
the ultramodern 2 text and let's change
5:39
color to according your needs maybe to
5:41
leave it to this red color hit s for
5:44
scaling and instead of 100 let's type
5:47
102 okay hit control+ D once again this
5:51
is going to be ultramodern 3 and then
5:53
for this three text let's change color
5:55
to maybe this type of blue color play
5:58
around with your own options hit okay
6:00
hit also s for scaling and this is going
6:03
104 and now as you can see we have this
6:06
cool looking animation of our
6:08
ultramodern text now select this two and
6:10
three text hit you to show of the key
6:12
frames and for the second one let's
6:15
select all of our key frames just
6:17
reposition here in the scene according
6:19
your needs I'll just do random options
6:22
okay also for this third text and
6:24
reposition it somewhere around here and
6:27
now when we hit zero this is looking
6:29
looking really cool and awesome okay now
6:32
let's select all of the ultramodern
6:34
texts and then go right click to
6:36
precompose this is going to be just text
6:40
plus elements make sure to move all
6:42
attributes into the new composition and
6:44
then hit okay now let's also duplicate
6:47
these text plus elements for a few times
6:50
hit control+ D once for the second time
6:52
and for the third time and for those
6:55
three let's change names this is going
6:57
to be text background okay let's to name
6:59
this one also third one text background
7:03
and this is going to be also text
7:05
background okay and select them again
7:07
hit S4 scaling this is going to be
7:10
240 and let's also reposition it hit P4
7:14
position for this first text background
7:16
move it above somewhere around here this
7:19
one leave it to here and for this third
7:22
also hit P4 position and move it
7:24
somewhere around here now let's also
7:27
select them again and let's change blend
7:29
ending mode here from normal to Overlay
7:32
for those three text backgrounds also
7:34
hit t for the opacity and instead of 100
7:37
let's type here 50 this is looking cool
7:40
and for our main text let's also hit s
7:43
for scaling and instead of maybe 100
7:48
120 okay and now when we hit zero we
7:52
have this cool looking animation of our
7:55
Ultra Modern text and this is looking
7:57
awesome okay now let let's also create
8:00
few adjustment layers go right click to
8:02
create new adjustment layer okay this is
8:05
going to be light race okay now go here
8:10
in the facts and preset find light race
8:13
okay drag and drop onto the adjustment
8:15
layer and basically here you can play
8:16
around with the options for the center
8:18
go somewhere around here uncheck this
8:21
option color from Source okay change
8:23
shape from round maybe to square you can
8:25
also change color you can use eye
8:28
dropper something like this and also you
8:31
can play around here with the radius
8:33
okay just play around till you're
8:34
satisfied with your results intensity
8:37
also and then hit t for opacity for this
8:39
adjustment layer and you can lower down
8:42
to somewhere around here you can also
8:45
play around with the softness and
8:47
everything else I'll do maybe brighter
8:49
color and then hit okay also
8:52
radius pretty much everything is up to
8:56
you and also let's add another
8:58
adjustment layer go right click to
9:00
create new adjustment layer this is
9:02
going to be lens flare go in the fact
9:05
and preset find lens flare effect CH and
9:08
drop onto the adjustment layer and for
9:10
the first option flare Center upper left
9:13
corner something like this change maybe
9:16
this option to this 35 mm Prime Also
9:20
let's animate go here to zero frames set
9:22
up the first key frame for the flare
9:24
Center and then go to around 10 seconds
9:27
and move it all the way here here
9:30
something like this and now when we hit
9:32
zero we have also our flare animation in
9:36
our final composition what we can do
9:38
next is to add another lens layer effect
9:41
go here in effects and PR it just drag
9:42
and drop onto the adjustment layer and
9:45
let's change maybe this flare Center to
9:47
around here okay and let's also animate
9:50
go to zero frames set up the first key
9:52
frame for flare Center go to 10 seconds
9:55
and just move all the way to the left
9:57
side something like this and now when we
10:00
hit zero in the finals we have cool
10:02
looking scene of our flares and of our
10:06
Twisted text okay and for the final step
10:10
let's also import another adjustment
10:12
layer this is going to be light sweep go
10:14
right click to create new adjustment
10:16
layer this is going to be light sweep
10:19
okay go in effects and pres it find
10:21
light sweep effect drag and drop onto
10:24
the adjustment layer and here basically
10:26
let's go for the edge thickness zero and
10:28
for the Direction instead of this minus
10:30
30 let's go to around 45 and it's up to
10:33
you what you're going to do with this
10:35
slight sweep effect I will hit control+
10:37
D once again and just move this x
10:40
position to maybe around here and also
10:43
hit control+ D again and just reposition
10:46
it again and basically you can play
10:48
around with the light sweep effect here
10:50
you can also animate here opacity
10:53
intensity and everything else it's
10:55
pretty much up to you then hit zero and
10:58
our Al modern text and twisted text is
11:02
