hello guys soft Tony here and in today's
0:02
tutorial we will be creating an Ultra
0:05
Modern neon text animation step by step
0:07
Here and After Effects without using any
0:10
third party plugins before we begin
0:12
please subscribe to my channel if you
0:13
haven't already hit the like button and
0:16
turn on the notification Bell so you
0:17
don't miss any of my upcoming video
0:20
tutorials so let's get started with the
0:22
creation Here and After
0:36
all right we're here in After Effects
0:37
and first like always let's create a new
0:39
composition hit control or command plus
0:41
n or hit on this little icon this is
0:43
going to be final composition 19920 by
0:46
1080 30 frames per seconds and duration
0:49
I will leave it to around 10 seconds hit
0:51
okay and then go right click to create
0:52
our background find here solid layer
0:55
okay this is going to be background like
0:57
usual and then hit okay now go here in
0:59
the fact and preset and if you can't
1:01
find effects and preset option just go
1:02
window and you will find it here now
1:05
type ramp effect and then drag and drop
1:07
onto the background solid layer for this
1:09
start of the ramp go upper left corner
1:11
end of the ramp lower right corner for
1:13
the first color leave it to pure black
1:15
color and for the second one let's type
1:19
033 to get this type of blue color hit
1:23
okay and now let's duplicate this
1:25
background solid layer hit control+ D or
1:27
go addit and then duplicate I will
1:29
rename this one to grid okay and also
1:33
here on this grid solid layer let's
1:35
change colors for the start color let's
1:37
type here 00 A1 Fe e to get this type of
1:42
color hit okay you can also use ey
1:44
dropper for this end color and now let's
1:47
add our next effect this is going to be
1:49
Ball action okay drag and drop onto the
1:52
grid solid layer and here let's also
1:54
make a few adjustments for the grid
1:55
spacing type here 10 and for the ball
1:58
size instead of 100 type also 10 this is
2:01
looking cool to me now hit t for the
2:03
opacity of this great solid layer and
2:05
instead of 100 type here 15 or 20
2:08
according your needs this is looking
2:11
cool to me for now and I will close this
2:13
effects control okay this is looking
2:16
awesome let's duplicate this grid solid
2:18
layer once again hit control+ D I will
2:21
rename this one to star burst okay hit
2:25
F3 again for effect control okay for the
2:28
start of the color let's change to pure
2:30
white color and also for the end color
2:32
let's change also to this white color
2:34
hit okay then delete this ball action
2:37
effect go here in the facts at pres it
2:39
again and let's type start burst effect
2:42
okay drag and drop onto the start burst
2:44
solid layer and here also basically you
2:46
can play around with the options for the
2:48
scatter I will do to around maybe 500
2:51
and for the speed minus 0.15 something
2:54
like this also now hit t for this layer
2:57
and let's play around here with the
2:59
opacity Maybe maybe to around 40% hit
3:02
zero in our finals and our background
3:05
for our text is looking cool okay our
3:08
next step is to create text here in
3:10
composition window in our preview hit
3:12
control+ t or go here on this little
3:15
icon I will type just my own text neon
3:18
glow okay you can type your own text
3:20
Center it here in the Align option okay
3:23
if you can't find align option just go
3:25
window and you will find align here now
3:27
double click on our neon glow text okay
3:29
okay go here to swap fill and stroke and
3:32
also use here five for this stroke width
3:35
of our text okay now it's time to
3:38
animate our text okay open up this
3:40
Little Triangle and then go here on
3:42
animate find here opacity and for the
3:44
opacity type here zero okay now go here
3:47
on ADD option property and find position
3:51
okay and for the Y parameter let's type
3:54
here 200 Now open up this range selector
3:56
1 set up the first key frame here at
3:59
zero frames for this offset option type
4:01
here minus 100 okay and then go to
4:05
around 5 seconds or so and let's type
4:08
here 100 and now our animation is
4:11
looking something like this our next
4:13
step is to open up this Advanced option
4:15
and here for the shape instead of square
4:17
find ramp up for the E high and e low
4:20
type 50 and also if you want to
4:23
randomize order instead of this off
4:25
option change it to on okay hit zero and
4:29
this is looking looking really cool what
4:31
we can do next is to select both of the
4:33
key frames hit F9 go to graph editor and
4:37
draw a curve like this okay now hit zero
4:40
in the finals and then this is looking
4:42
cool you can readjust the key frames
4:45
according your needs maybe to around 3
4:47
seconds hit zero and this is looking
4:50
awesome okay our next step is to add few
4:53
effects on the neon glow text okay go in
4:56
effects and preser for the first effect
4:58
that we're going to use is ramp effect
5:00
okay find ramp effect drag and drop onto
5:03
the text and for the first color go
5:06
upper left corner okay for the second
5:08
color lower right corner for the first
5:10
color let's type here code 00 0 B4 FF
5:15
and then hit okay you can also use ey
5:17
dropper for the second color but later
5:19
on if you want to change color you can
5:21
just go here and change your colors
5:23
according your needs okay our next
5:25
effect that we're going to use is drop
5:27
shadow drag and drop onto our on glow
5:30
text and here for the shadow color let's
5:34

5:38
for the distance let's leave it to five
5:40

5:42
hit control+ D to duplicate this drop
5:45
shadow and for this second drop shadow
5:47
distance type 10 and for the softness
5:50
type here 40 and then duplicate this
5:52
once again hit control plus d for the
5:54
distance type here 20 and for the
5:57
softness let's go somewhere around 80
6:00
this is looking cool okay I will close
6:03
again this sex control for now now let's
6:05
precompose this text go right click find
6:08
here precompose this is going to be just
6:10
text make sure to move all attributes
6:12
into the new composition okay now add
6:15
our next effect this is going to be glow
6:17
okay drag and drop onto the text
6:19
composition and for the glow threshold
6:21
let's go to around 90 glow radius
6:24
instead of 10 maybe to around five and
6:26
glow intensity you can leave it to one
6:28
play around here with the options in
6:30
every moment later on okay now let's
6:33
duplicate this text composition hit
6:35
control+ D then go here again in the
6:38
effects and preset find effect find
6:41
edges okay drag and drop onto the first
6:44
text composition delete this glow effect
6:47
and for the blending mode instead of
6:49
normal find here add select this invert
6:52
option okay and now select both of the
6:55
text composition go right click
6:57
precompose and let's rename the this one
6:59
to Text Plus elements make sure to move
7:03
all attributes into the new composition
7:05
and then hit okay and now in our finals
7:08
we have this cool looking glowing text
7:12
okay for the next step let's also
7:14
duplicate this text plus elements hit
7:16
control+ D for the lower one let's
7:18
rename this one to Shadow okay go here
7:21
in the facts and pres it and find effect
7:24
CC radial fast blur okay drag and drop
7:28
onto the shadow composition
7:30
and for the center let's go somewhere
7:32
around here cool for the amount let's
7:34
type 90 hit T4 opacity go to around 30%
7:39
and now in our final scene our neon glow
7:42
text is looking awesome what we can do
7:45
also is to open up this text again and
7:48
hit t for a few times for the opacity
7:51
and just random animate our opacity
7:54
option 100 go to around maybe 50 then
7:58
here just just random animate this
8:01
opacity option something like
8:06
this and now when we go here in the
8:08
final composition hit zero and our neon
8:12
glow text is looking really cool and
8:15
really really awesome okay you can also
8:18
add here light effects few adjustment
8:20
layers if you want go right click to
8:22
create new adjustment layer okay this is
8:25
going to be light race and then go here
8:28
in the fact and preset again like usual
8:30
find light race effect okay cool uncheck
8:35
this option color from source for this
8:37
radius option I will do maybe to around
8:40
180 warp softness to around maybe 200
8:43
you can play around and change colors
8:46
according your needs maybe to do this
8:48
type of blue color you can readjust this
8:50
point in every moment okay also you can
8:53
lower down intensity if you want and
8:55
then hit control+ D readjust the second
8:58
light Trace go to around here maybe play
9:02
around with the options now let's add
9:04
also lens layer but before that let's
9:07
lower down this also intensity go right
9:10
click to create new adjustment layer
9:12
this is going to be lens player Okay go
9:16
again here in the facts and preset find
9:18
lens flare effect drag and drop onto the
9:21
adjustment layer and here let's also
9:23
play around with the effect for this
9:25
flare Center go somewhere around here
9:27
maybe you can also animate go here at
9:30
zero frames set up the first key frame
9:32
for this fler Center then go to around 5
9:35
seconds or so and just move this x
9:39
parameter to maybe somewhere around here
9:42
or according your needs hit zero on your
9:45
keyboard and our scene is looking really
9:48
cool and really awesome you can also
9:50
blend this with original go to around
9:54
60% hit zero and our neon glow text is
9:59
is looking cool and is looking really
10:02
really awesome also one thing for the
10:04
end what we have forgotten to do is to
10:06
animate tracking open up this text plus
10:08
elements then text then open up this
10:10
Little Triangle go here again on the
10:12
animate find tracking go here at zero
10:15
frames for the tracking amount let's go
10:18
to around 40 or 30 set up the first key
10:20
frame for the tracking amount and then
10:22
go to around five or 6 seconds somewhere
10:25
around here and let's type here zero and
10:29
now when we hit zero on our keyboard you
10:31
can also see that we have cool movement
10:33
of our neon glow text okay Center it or
10:37
align again to the center and in our
10:39
final composition hit zero and our
10:43
animation is looking really cool and
10:46
really really creative hit zero again
10:49
and this is looking awesome okay just
10:52
make sure also to go here on paragraph
10:55
option and set this option Center text
10:58

11:00
