hello guys soft Tony here and in today's
0:02
tutorial we will be creating a cylinder
0:05
animation that you can use in your
0:06
intros and slideshow videos as well as
0:09
for backgrounds transition and so much
0:11
more step by step we will achieve a top
0:14
look so stay with me until the end of
0:16
this tutorial and before we begin make
0:18

0:24
upcoming video tutorials and without any
0:27
further Ado let's get started creating
0:42
all right we're here in After Effects
0:43
and first like always let's create new
0:45
composition hit on this little icon like
0:47
usual or hit control or command plus n
0:50
okay and this is going to be final
0:52
composition 9020 x 1080 and also 30
0:55
frames per seconds and duration I will
0:57
leave this one to you but for me it's
0:59
okay okay to leave it to around 10
1:01
seconds hit okay and then go right click
1:03
to create new solid layer this is going
1:05
to be background of course 9020 x 1080
1:08
hit okay and now go here in the effects
1:10
and presets and if you can find this
1:12
option just go window and you will find
1:14
the effects and presets here okay now
1:16
let's type fil effect drag and drop onto
1:18
the background and change color
1:20
according your needs and I will do for
1:23
this particular tutorial this type of
1:25
blue color now hit okay and let's create
1:28
new solid layer go right click to create
1:30
new solid okay this is going to be shape
1:33
01 also 90/20 x 1080 and then hit Okay
1:37
go again here in the F and prit find F
1:39
drag and drop onto the shape 01 and
1:41
let's change color here for the first
1:43
color let's type this hexa code if you
1:45
want to see animation like in the
1:49
e0000 94 to get this kind of pink color
1:54
now hit okay go here in effects and pres
1:55
it again and find hack style effect CC
1:59
hack Style Dr and drop onto the shape 01
2:01
and for the radius you can play around
2:03
here for the next effect let's go here
2:05
in the effects and prit and find CC
2:08
cylinder also Dragon drop onto the shape
2:11
01 okay and for the radius instead of
2:14
100 let's go to around 90 okay let's
2:17
just change radius here for hex style
2:19
instead of 90 let's go 25 and this is
2:22
looking awesome also open up for this CC
2:25
cylinder this light option and for the
2:27
light intensity let's go to somewhere
2:30
125 and for the light height let's go to
2:33
around 12 and basically you can play
2:35
around with all of those options find
2:37
the suitable parameters for you okay for
2:40
the next step let's add here drop shadow
2:42
dragon drop onto the shape 01 and for
2:45
the first parameter let's change
2:47
distance to around 10 and for the
2:48
softness let's go to around 200 now
2:51
let's also animate our CC cylinder open
2:54
up rotation set up the first key frame
2:56
for wi rotation and then go all the way
2:59
to around 10 seconds and let's type here
3:02
one and now when we hit zero here we
3:05
have cool animation of our cylinder
3:08
shape okay I will close this effects
3:10
control for now and let's duplicate this
3:13
shape one hit control+ D hit P4 position
3:17
to move it to around here on the right
3:19
side okay this is looking cool now hit
3:22
F3 to show effects control and let's
3:25
change also colors for this one this is
3:30
089 to get this type of color hit okay
3:34
now let's duplicate this one once again
3:36
hit control+ D also hit P4 position and
3:39
move all the way to the right side like
3:42
so and let's change color also here and
3:45
this is going to be 9 E1 1 a b also hit
3:50
okay now let's duplicate this shape 01
3:52
once again this middle shape h control+
3:55
d hit P4 position move it to the left
3:58
side like so okay somewhere around here
4:02
and let's change also color type this
4:04
hexa code FB 00 C9 hit okay duplicate
4:09
once again this shape and hit P4
4:12
position move it all the way to the left
4:14
side move it just above this one okay
4:17
move it all the way to the left side to
4:19
around here and let's also change color
4:25
FF okay as you will see in the second
4:28
part of the tutorial I found on those
4:30
colors most suitable for this particular
4:33
one but of course you can change colors
4:35
according your needs okay I will close
4:37
now this effects control and let's add
4:40
our first adjustment layer go right
4:42
click to create new adjustment layer
4:44
this is going to be lens flare okay move
4:46
it above everything else here in the
4:48
final composition go here in effects and
4:51
pres it find lens flare effect drag and
4:53
drop onto the adjustment layer and here
4:56
basically you can play around with all
4:57
of the options I will do maybe this 35
5:00
mm Prime and for the flare Center let's
5:03
go to somewhere around here and this
5:05
will be looking great in our final
5:07
animation now let's add another
5:09
adjustment layer go right click to
5:10
create another adjustment layer those
5:12
are going to be curves now go here in
5:14
the fact and pres find curves drag and
5:17
drop onto the adjustment layer and let's
5:20
make this scene just a bit darker like
5:22
so okay now let's go right click again
5:26
find here adjustment layer again and
5:29
let's rename this one to levels go here
5:31
in the facts and pres it find levels
5:34
effect drag and drop onto the adjustment
5:36
layer and here let's make further
5:38
adjustments for the input black let's go
5:40
to around 30 for the input white let's
5:43
170 and for the gamma let's play around
5:46
for me it's okay to leave it to around 0
5:48
maybe 75 or so and this is looking great
5:52
now let's create another adjustment
5:54
layer go right click to create new
5:56
adjustment layer this is going to be
5:57
fourth one and let's rename it to to
6:00
Spotlight okay now go here in effects
6:02
and PR find CC Spotlight effect drag and
6:05
drop onto the adjustment layer like
6:07
before and here for the height let's
6:09
type 70 for the cone angle let's go to
6:12
around 30% and for the edge softness
6:14
let's go to around 100% also in T Steel
6:18
you can play around here I will go to
6:20
around 60 okay now select this Spotlight
6:23
effect and change the position to maybe
6:26
somewhere around here basically just
6:30
play around with all of those option
6:32
until you're satisfied with your own
6:34
final results now let's duplicate this
6:36
CC Spotlight hit control+ D and move it
6:39
to the opposite side like so and our
6:42
scene is looking great you can also hit
6:45
T4 opacity lower it down or move it up
6:49
everything according your wishes and
6:51
needs okay it's zero to see the preview
6:54
and our cylinder animation is looking
6:57
cool and for the final step let's
6:59
precompose everything select everything
7:02
or hit control+ a go right click
7:04
precompose this is going to be seen this
7:07
is just random name hit okay hit s for
7:10
scaling just to hide lower and upper
7:13
parts of our cylinder maybe to go to
7:16
110 this is looking awesome and what we
7:20
have forgotten to do open up this scene
7:22
select the shape layer 01 maybe this
7:25
first one go here in the effects and
7:27
pres it and let's type effect light
7:29
light sweep drag and drop onto our first
7:31
shape and here basically you can play
7:34
around with this light sweep effect I
7:36
will do maybe for this Edge thickness
7:38
zero also for the edge intensity for the
7:40
sweep intensity let's go to around 12 or
7:43
so just play around hit control+ C and
7:45
copy to all of the other shape layers
7:49
okay you can also move position to up or
7:52
down just play around with everything
7:54
for me this is looking great now go here
7:56
in the final again hit zero and this
7:59
this is looking cool what we can do for
8:02
the final step of course go right click
8:04
to create new adjustment layer again
8:06
let's rename this one to colorama okay
8:09
now go here in effects and PR it find
8:11
colorama effect drag and drop onto the
8:13
adjustment layer and here in the
8:15
colorama effect you can play around with
8:17
the input phase I will leave it to
8:19
intensity and for the output cycle just
8:21
choose presets here maybe ramp pred or
8:24
ramp green or ramp blue just play around
8:28
until you're find your suitable presets
8:31
here you can also hit T4 opacity to mix
8:34
those colors or change blending mode
8:37
maybe overlay and now we have look like
8:40
this now I will turn off this effect
8:43
play around with the options and for me
8:46
this is looking great all right guys
8:48
that was everything for today's tutorial
8:50
as you can see this was easy to create
8:53
and cool technique to create these shape
8:56
layers cylinders and you can import this
