Okay, today I'm going to walk you through how to set up free WordPress hosting using
0:09
Ezoic's WordPress hosting. So if you already have the site integrated and on Ezoic, it's pretty easy
0:18
But if you want to move a site over and set it up with Ezoic hosting, you'll have to add a site first
0:25
And then once you add your site, you'll have to go through all the integration steps and be
0:29
completed through integration, which can take up to 24 to 48 hours for name servers to propagate
0:35
Once you are cloud integrated, meaning you're integrated with Cloudflare or via name servers
0:41
which are the two options available to sites that want to transfer to Izoic hosting
0:47
Once Ezoic is on and you are integrated, you can use the settings tab up here to scroll down
0:53
to WordPress hosting, and you'll see a button that says get started
0:59
This option won't be available until you are integrated and Ezoic is on
1:04
And you have two options. One is we give you a blank site and then you could transfer things over through exporting your existing site on WordPress This is probably only a good fit for sites that are very simple and you really just want to be bringing over the content and maybe something as simple as a theme and
1:22
just resetting up your site. There's an export feature on WordPress that you can use, but
1:28
most sites will want to transfer it. So I'm going to click on transfer site
1:35
So now it's going to ask me for SFTP host, user, password. If you've never done this before
1:42
It might seem intimidating, but it's pretty easy. So I'm logged into WP Engine where this site is hosted, and you're going to see that I'm going to create an SFTP user
1:53
In many cases, this will already exist, but you may need to reset the password
1:59
So the very first thing that I'm going to do is grab my SFTP address
2:12
My user is right here. I know the port is 2.222
2:25
There it is. 2 And then I got my password
2:42
You may need to reset or start your password. In my case, I'm going to go ahead and do that
2:59
Perfect. So now my password, my information all goes together. And don't worry, if something
3:09
doesn't go correctly or something like that, you won't be able to push this site live until you've
3:16
previewed it with these oaks. So you can make sure that everything is set up properly and your existing site will continue to operate just fine
3:21
It's told me that it's successful. Now I can see setup status
3:35
It can take up to an hour and maybe even longer if your site is pretty large, but once
3:41
the process is finished, you'll have a screen that looks like this. If you leave and want to come back all you have to do is go to settings once again WordPress hosting and you come to this overview screen You can cancel your setup or you can preview your site and even set it live
3:56
Now, from here, I can also manage my credentials, set my PHP version, and unzip-compressed theme files
4:04
But for the most part, what you'll want to do first is preview your site to make sure everything looks the way that it did whenever you moved it
4:16
So, here's my site. Another thing to consider here is that I can actually test my WP admin from here as well
4:31
Log into my site to make sure that everything looks the way that it does it should on my admin screen as well
4:39
And then once I'm ready, I can set my site live. And once I've set my site live, it will give me this information here
4:56
And then I should just be able to log in my, log into my site like normal, and everything should be good to go
