Hello, my name is Connor Porter and I'm a technical support specialist here at Ezoic
0:05
Today, we're going to be talking about fluid and adaptive sizing. What's the difference between
0:11
the two and what are they? First, let's start with going to a placeholder on your site. First
0:18
let's start with going to a placeholder on your site. And you can either do this through the
0:24
Chrome extension or the Ezoic Ads tab in your dashboard. So, let's start with the Chrome
0:29
extension. You're simply going to activate it, activate placeholders, scroll down
0:45
find one you want to change, click edit. And then all you have to do is change adaptive sizing to on and allow fluid size to on
1:01
Simply click save and you're set. Don't forget to deactivate your Chrome extension like so
1:11
And like I said, the other way you can do this is through the Ezoic Ads tab
1:15
in your dashboard. I'm going to show you that now. Once you're in the dashboard
1:19
just go to Ezoic Ads, come on down to one of these, click the pencil or edit
1:30
and confirm that adaptive sizing is listed as on and fluid sizing is listed as on. Don't forget
1:37
to click save just like the Chrome extension. So, as you can see, both settings are listed
1:42
in each placeholder. Fluid allows the ad size to change depending on the layout and screen
1:48
resolution for each user. Adaptive sizing allows Ezoic to test multiple smaller units in a larger
1:55
placeholder that you have enabled on your website. Now, let's bring this back to revenue
2:01
Sites that have fluid sizing on 100% of their placeholders can see an average of 10% more in
2:09
revenue than those that do not. An example of adaptive sizing is if you had, let's say
2:16
a 300 by 600 placeholder enabled on your site. Ezoic system would test two 300 by 250s stacked
2:25
on top of each other to see how they would perform. Of course, the system is going to take
2:30
into consideration the user experience and your revenue for your site. Fluid sizing is expanding
2:36
to be the full width of the element in which the ad is within. So, if you have it at the top of the
2:42
site above the content, it would expand across the entire screen. Now, everyone has been promising
2:48
themselves change since March of 2020. Be more fluid with your placeholders and adapt to the
2:55
ever-changing landscape of digital ads. I don't work for men's warehouse, but you are going to
3:01
like the way it looks, especially come payday. So, go make those changes. And remember, that's
3:08
your order from Connor Porter
