Shipwreck Found After 85 Years!

85 years ago today—November 25, 1940—the Dutch tanker MV Apollonia was attacked and sunk by three German destroyers in the English Channel. Traveling from Plymouth to Avonmouth, she was hit by gunfire and torpedoes from the Hans Lody, Karl Galster, and Richard Beitzen. For 84 years, the Apollonia remained unidentified on the seabed.
