Maybe you didn't want this relationship to end. You didn't expect this to happen

Maybe the breakup was sudden, out of the blue and totally unexpected

Maybe you feel like you've had the rug pulled out from under your feet and you feel off balance

Maybe you feel stressed, tense or anxious. I want you to begin by taking a deep breath in and fill your lungs with air and feel that

your lungs expand and then breathe out smoothly and evenly and feel your body soften

And again, breathe in deeply and feel your rib cage expand and then take a long, slow

exhale and feel your body soften. Now go ahead and gently close your eyes

Notice the weight of your body being supported by the surface beneath you

Tune into that support. Allow your breath to find its way back into its regular rhythm

And allow yourself to sink a little deeper into the surface that's supporting you

As you begin to relax here, relax your jaw, release your shoulders and just breathe

Begin to move your awareness to your breath. Tune into the sound of your breathing

Notice the temperature of the inhalation breath and the temperature of the exhalation breath

Follow the path of the breath as you breathe in and you breathe out

If your mind wanders while you're noticing the breath, that's okay. Just gently bring your focus back to your breathing

Counting your breath now. Count one on your next inhale, two on the exhale, three on the inhale, four on the exhale

Speak your truth without holding back. Letting your emotions flow freely

As you express yourself, notice any feelings of resentment, anger or bitterness that arise
