0:03
here my name is heaven I am a stay-at
0:05
home mom wife and Homemaker here I

0:10
so if you are looking for some
0:12
homemaking inspiration or some
0:14
motherhood motivation that is helpful
0:16
fun realistic and relatable I invite you
0:19
to subscribe to my channel I post once
0:21
or twice per week and I would absolutely
0:25
love to have you here today I am getting
0:27
ready to check out some of the dollar
0:29
store and the rift store shelves with
0:32
the holiday season coming up I know how
0:34
it could be when you are seeing everyone
0:36
put up their decorations and sharing all
0:39
of their Christmas gift hauls and things
0:41
like that and it can kind of make you
0:44
feel like you have to do the same thing
0:46
too well for one you do not have to
0:49
comparison it's not a game that we
0:51
should play or that we want to play
0:53
because it could lead us down a really
0:55
bad rabbit hole that is not healthy for
0:58
us and sometimes someone else is
1:00
lifestyle just does not fit for us when
1:02
I was growing up as a kid we just didn't
1:04
have a lot of money my mother was a
1:06
single mother um and so even though
1:09
that's not the case for me now I've been
1:10
with my husband for 12 years now and we
1:13
have been married for 7 years and we
1:16
have a 4-year-old together so I can give
1:19
my son a little bit more than what I was
1:23
able to get when I was younger but I was
1:27
you know there before we didn't have a
1:29
lot of money and my mom just did the
1:31
best that she could some holidays she
1:33
would spend all of her money making sure
1:35
that she could get us everything that we
1:38
wanted and we would be super happy but
1:40
we didn't understand the sacrifices that
1:42
she had to make in the latter days that
1:45
we had to go with out or that she had to
1:47
struggle to make ends meet just because
1:49
of the things that she got us for
1:51
Christmas and on the other end some
1:53
holidays she just couldn't do it at all
1:55
where we wouldn't have Christmas
1:57
decorations or we just wouldn't have
1:58
Christmas gifts and so I remember what
2:00
that was like I also know what it's like
2:02
to be able to go out and you know get
2:04
all of those things comfortably for the
2:06
holiday season and for my family but I
2:10
just want to share a few different
2:11
options so while I am sharing my Hobby
2:14
Lobby Christmas hauls and my like
2:17
department stores in Walmart all of
2:19
those things like that I also want to
2:21
share some more affordable options that
2:24
can be really really good if you don't
2:26
have a ton of money to spend or if you
2:29
just want to be a lot more conservative
2:31
this time around and save some money for
2:33
say experiences like vacation and things
2:36
like that so let's go check out the
2:38
dollar store and Thrift shelves and see
2:40
what they have okay so starting right
2:43
over here I already am seeing that they
2:45
do have a few Christmas trees over here
2:47
that you can pick up from this is the
2:49
Salvation Army I came here because I
2:51
know that they have like the Salvation
2:53
Army multiple locations around the
2:55
country so they may have one near you
2:58
but you can also try out your local
2:59
thrift store they have like the
3:01
Christmas stockings they have like a
3:03
little Christmas tree planter they have
3:05
the ugly Christmas tree sweater as well
3:08
as like a taper Tre in the back there so
3:10
they already have a few of their
3:12
Christmas pieces up so far so here's
3:14
another little Christmas tree and I
3:16
can't I think this one is
3:19
$7.99 so this is $7.99 for a little
3:23
Christmas tree here and they also have
3:26
like Christmas lights they have some
3:28
cute little table to
3:30
Christmas items 100 pack of Lights back
3:35
there as well as some ornaments for $7
3:38
they have cute little like bears for $6
3:42
this is a really cute like little
3:44
snowman here he's cute for just $10 they
3:48
have the angels and the Globes this
3:51
little village frosted Christmas tree is
3:54
only $5 and that Merry Christmas sign is
3:58
$5 as well well they have like the stair
4:03
case pieces the tree stands more
4:06
ornaments down there they have like the
4:08
little Santa Claus figurines up here as
4:12
well these are some of your more
4:14
traditional like Christmas items that
4:17
you may not even find inside the stores
4:19
anymore there are some Christmas
4:20
ornaments for just $3 there and then
4:24
this little fiber optic snow housee is
4:27
only
4:28
$6 and they have a really nice um amount
4:33
of Christmas reefs here at this location
4:37
they have the smaller ones that you can
4:38
put on like your cabinet
4:40
here like these ones and a lot of these
4:43
Christmas trees are beautiful um you
4:45
would just want to make sure like that
4:47
all of the lights work before you know
4:50
because those tend to go out sometimes
4:52
let me see this one is only
4:54
$6 so a few different Christmas reefs
4:57
options this little mini Christmas tree
5:00
this is $26 which is kind of up there in
5:03
price because Hobby Lobby had those for
5:05
50% off they have like this little Point
5:08
set a basket for just
5:10
$15 as well as some more Christmas reefs
5:16
over here inside here they have more
5:18
like their Stone like ceramic and glass
5:21
globe pieces so like this little
5:24
Christmas candle shop $8 the globe back
5:27
there $20 and then and that one is $50
5:32
and it is really pretty okay so honest
5:35
opinion as far as Salvation Army Goes is
5:37
try your local thrift store I felt like
5:40
they didn't have a lot of things out yet
5:42
I'm sure they're going to get more later
5:43
in the season but some of the price tags
5:46
that I saw on those items were a tad bit
5:49
more expensive than what I've seen at
5:51
like Walmart or Hobby Lobby th far so
5:55
now I'm going to go ahead and check out
5:56
the dollar store because I know that
5:57
everything in there is going to be $5 or
6:00
less so let's go in check out the dollar
6:02
store and see what they have next they
6:04
already have like the Christmas
6:06
stockings and Bows some of the Christmas
6:09
gift bags up here these bowls are really
6:12
cute because these you can pretty much
6:13
decorate any of like the pieces that you
6:15
already have in your home with these as
6:17
well as these little wine bottle bags
6:19
like you can use those as like some
6:21
really inexpensive decorative options
6:23
they also have the 50 ft of red and gold
6:27
traditional color Garland so if you
6:31
already have for say like a coffee bar
6:34
set you can stick some of these like on
6:36
your mason jars or whatever like little
6:39
dishes that you keep your coffee in and
6:41
that'll just turn them into like
6:42
Christmas decor and then you can also do
6:44
these bigger ones here on like your
6:47
staircase I think that is actually
6:49
something that I'm considering that I
6:51
might actually do they have more of like
6:54
their hanging Decor or ornament they
6:57
have d or cabinet reefs for a
7:02
dollar snowflakes which would really be
7:05
really really cute to let your little
7:07
one put those up I think the little ones
7:09
would love that as well as the Christmas
7:12
Advent calendars where you just take
7:15
this little veil Crow button you stick
7:18
it on you know however many days are
7:21
left till Christmas so I like that I
7:24
would kind of just start here like at
7:26
the bottom and then go up towards the
7:30
top until there's like a one day left
7:31
for Christmas so the Advent calendars
7:34
are a dollar here put that in the
7:36
kitchen these are really nice in my
7:40
opinion you can put something like this
7:42
inside of the bathroom for like a Winter
7:44
Wonderland theme and I think that these
7:46
are pretty cool as well and these are a
7:49
pretty good size I'm pretty sure I got
7:51
one that was a little more expensive
7:53
from Walmart that was a little bit
7:55
smaller these ones are only a dollar if
7:58
kisses were snow flakes I would send you
8:00
a blizzard and It's the Most Wonderful
8:02
Time of the Year believe in the magic I
8:04
like this little pillow although I'm not
8:06
sure where it would go I'm dreaming of a
8:08
farmhouse Christmas so if you have like
8:10
a farmhouse Decor going on then that
8:12
would be nice for that and then just
8:14
more of the Christmas wall decor here so
8:17
tons of little W decor for just a dollar
8:21
as well as some Led ornaments which I've
8:24
never seen before but these little
8:27
ornaments light up you could put these
8:29
like under like a cake dish and that
8:32
would be really cool or inside of like a
8:35
bowl to make like a little Center piece
8:37
yeah and these actually light up so
8:39
that's pretty
8:40
cool and then more of like your
8:42
different size Christmas ornaments 15
8:45
piece for this one and then this one is
8:48
a seven
8:50
piece um your ornament hooks all of the
8:53
different type of ornaments they have
8:55
tree toppers up there this is really
8:58
cute you can put put your little one's
9:00
picture in here for a little elf
9:02
ornament on the tree really cute this
9:05
would be nice in like our Homeschool
9:07
Room and then just more of the
9:10
traditional style of ornaments I think
9:15
this one is pretty nice it almost look
9:18
like kind of like
9:20
homemade so I think that one is cool and
9:24
then they also have it up there in the
9:27
Plaid black and white as well We wish
9:30
you a Merry Christmas we wish you a
9:33
Merry Christmas and Happ year well that
9:37
was unexpected but those are cute as
9:40
well they are motion activated those
9:42
would not be in my house but they're
9:45
they're kind of
9:46
[Music]
9:49
cute sorry it's okay I was not expecting
9:54
it to
9:56
start I mean some people might think
9:58
it's
10:00
it would drive me
10:04
insane I like these little Go Reindeer
10:07
here as well as these little ornaments
10:12
here I think these look a little more
10:14
like higher price tag than like these
10:18
ones
10:22
here I just walk past it it'll keep
10:26
going off and then these are all of the
10:28
little floral arrangement options here
10:32
the berries are a thing that's like
10:34
coming into style now if you want to do
10:36
like a red and white like candy cane
10:39
kitchen theme I think that the red
10:40
berries would go really good with that
10:42
and then of course they have
10:45
the fake poinsetta pieces here okay so
10:50
this
10:51
has okay now this is 15 ft of Garland
10:54
that you can put on your stair whale and
10:56
then you can just put like a bow on each
10:59
of like the pillars of the stairwell and
11:01
that would be a really good option 15 ft
11:03
for a dollar and then just get one of
11:05
the pack of bows and you could do that
11:08
to decorate your staircase very
11:11
inexpensively and they have like the
11:13
glass vase fillers these glass vase
11:16
fillers go really good if you fill it up
11:19
with like water because like the um like
11:23
the fillers kind of like float like to
11:25
the top of the water and you can put
11:27
like a floating candle in the middle so
11:29
that's another like centerpiece option
11:32
that you could go with very
11:33
inexpensively as well so there's all of
11:36
your floral arrangements let's go see if
11:38
they have the $5 items here your gnome
11:42
Decor if that is something that you are
11:45
into I've never been like The Gnome type
11:47
of person but I mean they're kind of
11:50
cute last year I bought my son a few of
11:52
these pieces so if you haven't seen like
11:55
my last year's Christmas decor video I
11:57
bought him some of these to kind of just
11:59
decorate himself like his own personal
12:02
Christmas tree it was just
12:04
$125 so not breaking the bank at all and
12:08
they have it in white and green and then
12:11
you could put like a little Christmas
12:13
skirt on it or you can come down here
12:16
Christmas tree collars on there at the
12:19
bottom of it and then put like the
12:21
little tiny ornaments on there so last
12:23
year my son did two of those and we
12:25
still have them so we'll probably put
12:26
them in like the bathroom and then of
12:29
the tiny little ornaments that you could
12:30
do there these are your Christmas
12:34
reefs 15 in and 18 in as well as your
12:38
reef hanger I actually need to get one
12:41
of those um and then these are the
12:45
ornaments that you make so the tops of
12:47
these come off and you can fill them
12:49
with like the snow if you want to you
12:51
could even glue like a picture of your
12:53
little ones on there so those are cool
12:57
options um they they also have like the
12:59
Globes where you can do the same thing
13:02
down there these are pretty cool my son
13:05
did this literally like two months ago I
13:09
bought him this last year so that he
13:11
could decorate it for Christmas and we
13:13
we never used it until literally like a
13:16
couple months ago so we had a snowman in
13:19
the middle of summer they have the
13:21
gingerbread man now so maybe I'll get
13:23
him that one and then we could maybe put
13:25
that up on like the window or something
13:28
I don't know
13:29
and then they have these ones that you
13:31
can color so that's pretty cool too I
13:35
think that I'll end up getting some of
13:36
these for him to do as like an advent
13:39
calendar type thing where he would do
13:42
something new every day of the week we
13:44
have your battle brush Christmas trees
13:48
which are of course always like a I feel
13:50
like these are like a Christmas decor
13:53
staple they have the gold ones now which
13:55
are really nice really pretty so they
13:59
have the 12 pieces so if you're a
14:01
teacher you could do this for your kids
14:03
they have Angels trees all of that or
14:06
you can just use those to make like a
14:09
Garland
14:11
um make ornaments these are really cute
14:15
Advent options paint your own ornament
14:18
just things that you can just have an
14:20
activity in your classroom or home
14:22
school room or in your home for your
14:24
little ones want to do every day for 25
14:27
Days of Christmas so that's pretty cool
14:29
options they have a 4ft Christmas tree I
14:33
almost want to buy it just to like see
14:35
what it looks like outside of the box
14:38
put like a collar around that or put it
14:40
in like a Potter and kind of make it
14:43
look like the um entryway Christmas
14:46
trees put a few lights on that and that
14:49
would be for $10 you could just decorate
14:51
your porch and then they also have the
14:55
Garland sets LED
14:59
these are really nice Christmas
15:02
stockings they really really soft they
15:05
have it in red gray and white for $3 a
15:10
piece here is
15:14
your throw blanket for $5 if you want to
15:18
decorate your bedroom or even put this
15:21
like on a throw chair that you have they
15:24
have the antler ears for your car
15:27
inflatable Christmas trees for outdoor
15:30
as well as the candy cane in the Santa
15:32
so you could get like two of those
15:35
inflatable trees or two of the candy
15:37
canes and then get the two 4ot Christmas
15:40
trees and decorate those and let me see
15:42
that'll be $10 $20 you can decorate the
15:45
outdoor of your
15:47
home and then they have more wall
15:50
hanging signs or actually those are the
15:52
door hanging signs so these are all like
15:54
the $3 options here you could actually
15:57
do this for Christmas too the batteries
16:00
are not included so I can't show you
16:01
guys what this looks like but this is a
16:04
lantern here and because it takes
16:06
batteries you can literally pull this
16:08
out every single year and this is
16:10
actually a really nice looking piece and
16:13
this is only $5 so you can do that for
16:16
fall and then put a red bow on it and
16:19
turn it into a Christmas decor these are
16:21
like the shoe mats if you are up north
16:25
like me you're going to be needing one
16:27
of those so Hobby
16:29
has these signs for $27 and I think they
16:32
have like a half off sale where they're
16:33
like $13 $5 here at the dollar store so
16:37
if you need to put these on the side of
16:39
your mans or your porches get them from
16:41
the dollar store not from Hobby Lobby
16:44
because they are more than half the
16:46
price here and they actually really good
16:49
quality they're actually kind of thick
16:52
there they have all of the different
16:53
colors so I think I'll actually end up
16:55
getting two of those to put outside they
16:57
have the table cloth more of your throw
17:00
blankets this one is really
17:04
cute here the ornaments on there and
17:08
then your classic colors here the berry
17:13
reefs that are definitely coming back in
17:16
style the candle holders are also pretty
17:20
good quality um $3 for this one they
17:24
have those really jumbo Christmas
17:26
candles over at Ross for just $8 and
17:30
there are those lanterns that are really
17:33
nice the lantern candle holders that you
17:36
can pull out every year I'm thinking
17:39
I'll get like a red one and a white one
17:41
to go with like my candy cane theme in
17:43
the kitchen and those would be really
17:45
nice I really like this one here for the
17:49
cabinet like it's a little thin for the
17:53
door but because of the berry and then
17:55
the flocked snow and the pine cones that
17:58
that will look nice in a dining room
18:00
over the table you can make it a
18:02
centerpiece right there in the middle
18:05
and set like something in the middle of
18:07
it maybe like a poin set a plant or
18:10
something or even like candles which
18:13
they do have for $5 a piece Blue Spruce
18:16
and
18:17
mistletoe and you could do that they
18:20
have $3 for Jumbo soap holders so dish
18:27
soap hand soap I just purchased the um
18:33
Grove dish soap and hand soap set so I
18:37
may not be going with new soap holders
18:40
but these are really really cute I might
18:44
just get them anywh who just because
18:46
this is more tabletop decor
18:50
here and another Christmas countown here
18:55
which is super cute so they have rudol
19:00
snowman options and they have Santa
19:04
wooden tree Decor as well as the Plaid
19:07
options and they also have like the
19:09
floor mats down there they have the faux
19:13
fur Christmas
19:15
trees ball garlands I saw these at Hobby
19:19
Lobby for a little bit more high price
19:21
tag and these are super cute hanging
19:25
door pieces if you don't want to go with
19:27
a wreath you can definitely go with
19:28
something like this which is really cute
19:31
and you can pull that out every year
19:33
$3 for those which would be really nice
19:36
on the
19:38
mantle and Veil ornaments for the
19:41
door $5 for the lights I was at the
19:45
Salvation Army just a few minutes ago
19:49
and I'm pretty sure that these were
19:51
$6 which was crazy so they have
19:54
inflatable Sesame Street Sesame Street
19:57
4T tall for $5 which is interesting and
20:02
this is super cute and I'm thinking this
20:04
would be great inside of my bathroom all
20:07
is calm all is bright and deck the hauls
20:11
pot
20:12
holders and some of your traditional
20:16
mantle decorations like the Christmas
20:19
tree trucks there not even sure exactly
20:22
what that one is but they just have a
20:24
lot of different options I really love
20:27
these that I might get $5 for your
20:32
potted flocked trees $5 a piece I don't
20:36
think I've seen them cheaper than that
20:37
yet there's your larger bottle brush
20:40
Christmas trees for
20:42
$5 and these back here are super cute

[Music]
20:50
$3 $3 a piece for those there are your
20:54
LED candy canes for your walkway
20:58
a
20:59
dollar um they even have an LED
21:02
projector which might be going out of
21:05
stock because those are getting popular
21:08
again as well in the smaller Lantern LED
21:12
candle holders with the tealight candles
21:14
inside of those ones so those are the
21:16
dollar options for you guys so that sums
21:18
up my affordable Christmas decor
21:20
shopping haul but I really do hope that
21:22
you enjoyed this video just seeing like
21:24
some of the other options that you know
21:26
you could go for some of the pieces at
21:29
the dollar store you would be surprised
21:30
that some of those pieces are the same
21:32
pieces that you will find at Walmart or
21:35
on Amazon timu Sheen and things like
21:38
that are almost the exact same items
21:41
with just a little bit of a cheaper
21:43
price tag on it so let me know what you
21:45
guys think and I would love to know what
21:46
you are doing this year for the holiday
