Hey Chris here and today I'm gonna be taking a look at the Firstnum portable travel router
0:04
with a sim card slot and I was sent this by Firstnum but I'll go ahead and give my honest
0:09
first impressions and overview of it. So just taking a look at what's inside the box. Everything
0:15
is neatly packed over here. Here's gonna be a user manual and then this is gonna be the router itself
0:23
Oh yeah, two big antennas here. So we're gonna have the ethernet cable and also the power adapt
0:29
So just on the back of the router there's gonna be some buttons and different functions
0:33
And it also does have a battery inside over here. So there's the power button here. There's different places for the ethernet
0:40
There's the Wi-Fi button a reset USB and then where the actual cable goes and in here
0:48
Is where that battery is gonna go ahead and lie right there and behind it. There's two things
0:52
There's gonna be a reset button and most importantly is gonna be the SIM card slot
0:57
There I went ahead and put the SIM card in over here And it was a little tricky because I actually had to go ahead and slide this and open it
1:04
So if I push it back I can go ahead and lift the metal tray up put the SIM card and go ahead and lock it back into place
1:11
But now it's in there So we're just gonna go ahead and test out and see how everything runs
1:14
So I have it turned on over here All I did was just press the button and I don't have anything connected just because it does have battery
1:21
Still so it's blue so that means it's above 20% and I just want to go ahead and see how to connect it
1:28
So I go here to WiFi other networks and since there a bunch in my area all the way down I see first num two options so let me click the 5g so now for the password let me just check at the bottom here
1:41
there's nothing here but over here it does say something right there the key is okay I see it
1:49
right here w0335177af so I got a chance to go over the instructions a little more
1:56
And here's what the interface looks like. The admin and password is just set at the bottom over here
2:03
Actually on this side, which is admin and first number for the password
2:06
Then afterwards I can connect My SIM card is connected. So AT&T router. So now there's Wi-Fi and I connected my laptop to the Wi-Fi
2:15
I also went ahead and not change some settings for the access type
2:21
Now as far as my Wi-Fi goes here this is what I changed it to like Chris's router and I just put a password like one two three five
2:27
six seven eight yeah you can see it's connected there and mobile I just left it as a 4g automatic
2:34
and then there's some other settings over here too now as far as up top it does give the battery life
2:40
which is good so now I know how much battery this router has since it's not connected to anything
2:46
right now and then again you know if you don't want to connect it it's right over here
2:52
but yeah so far i definitely think this thing is definitely a good uh compact way to go ahead and
2:57
travel uh yeah all you really need is just a sim card and you really need an outlet just because
3:03
this can just live off the battery but yeah anyway that's a quick overview of the traveler's wi-fi router
