I just got this monocular telescope by Femex so I want to do a quick unboxing and go ahead and test
0:04
it out to see how well this really works. So this opens up real easy and the first thing I'm greeted
0:08
with on top is going to be this strap and then underneath we're going to have this nice carrying
0:13
case and there's also going to be an instruction booklet. So here's a closer look at the case and it
0:18
does look really nice and really protective and on the back here we are going to have this loop to
0:22
go ahead and strap it onto somewhere and there's also going to be buckles on the side. Now taking
0:26
look at the front. This is going to be made up of two different materials. We're going to have like a
0:30
leatherette material up here and the regular material here. And this opens up real easy and
0:35
it's going to have velcro straps to go ahead and make sure it's nice and secure. This comes right
0:39
off. And of course there's also going to be this carrying strap so we can either put it around our
0:43
neck or just kind of around our shoulder. So here's a look at the cleaning cloth. And finally the
0:48
Femic monocular itself. And this thing looks really cool. It looks really compact and I do like the
0:53
that it does come with these caps on both ends just to go ahead and make sure that the lens
0:57
are gonna be nice and protected. So this just comes off just like so
1:01
And it also does have some loops around here so that strap can be attached just to not lose this part And the cap in the front opens up just like so and it is going to be attached so we don have to worry about losing this one Now here a look at the side we are going to have the logo Femek over here
1:15
and it looks real nice. I do like the fact that there are going to be these grips on the side
1:19
and these are going to be indented so it makes it a lot easier to go ahead and hold and right here
1:23
this is where the telescope part is going to be so this is where we can go ahead and just move it and adjust it as you can see so if we either have glasses or don't have glasses it'll be easier to
1:31
use it with both. And up top, we are going to have the adjustment, the focus wheel. And now taking a
1:36
look at the bottom, there is going to be an attachment for a tripod, which is going to be really convenient just to go ahead and get some nice shots. So here's a look at the strap, and this
1:44
is going to go ahead and attach to both of these ends over here. So we just got to make sure this
1:48
is all the way upward, just like so. And then we're going to go ahead and loop this through both these
1:53
holes, starting from this side and then up the other side, just like so. And then we can go ahead
1:58
and just pull this over and then just attach it like normal. So go ahead and pull it through the buckle on the top part
2:04
and now through the back and there. So now it's nice and secure and I can go ahead and just tighten it to my liking
2:09
And so this is how it goes ahead and looks like And now since the strap is a bit too long it can go ahead and be tucked inside here Or I guess you can cut it too And there it just like that So now it ready to be testing this out So I can take the lid right off
2:21
And right over there, I just saw a bunch of birds just flying through the tree. Oh, they're leaving
2:26
But let me see if I can still get a glimpse of them. Oh, I see one up on top of the tree
2:30
Oh, and it flew away. Oh, I missed it. Yeah. But let me see. Oh, I see a squirrel over here
2:35
So let me see how well I could see the squirrel. As far as field of view goes, it's not like a lot, but it's enough for me to go ahead and see clearly
2:43
And as far as picture quality goes, it's very very clear And one thing I just realized I forgot to do is I forgot to go ahead and and telescope this out
2:50
Yeah, so that's a lot better now All right So now time to go ahead and use my phone just to record to see what I see
2:55
I can just go ahead and record and I did go ahead and um
2:59
Telescope this out so it's easier for my phone And here now I got an image
3:04
and I see birds in the distance so let me see if I can zoom in on them with the phone
3:11
Now I do have to go ahead and just make little micro adjustments just to go ahead and get
3:16
it in focus Whoops I moved the phone a little bit Oh there now that really focused yeah that a lot better and if I could just see where the birds are all right I see them in the distance I see black
3:29
figures but I can't seem to find them here so here if I just go out here you can see there's
3:35
a bunch of birds over there so maybe if I go in that direction oh oh my arms getting tired
3:44
I'm gonna move to the right a little bit oh right over there finally I got him so there I could go
3:48
ahead and see the birds there's one two three four five birds or so but yeah these definitely look
3:54
really well and of course it's going to be a lot easier if it had like some sort of attachment just
3:59
to go ahead and so I don't have to go ahead and just hold it like this but at least one attachment
4:04
that does have is going to be for the tripod so I can just go ahead and screw this in there just
4:08
like that all right so here's what it goes ahead and looks like and now I can just go ahead and see off in the distance. And it's a lot easier because I can just put my eye right through it
4:15
I don't have to worry about holding it with my hand and my arm getting tired. And just like that
4:19
I made a telescope. So if you're looking for a monocular to go ahead and look outside to go
4:23
ahead and do some bird watching, if you're looking at it for yourself or for a gift, definitely check these out by Femec
