So today I'm taking a look at this Shimona bike lock chain and one thing that's different about it
0:05
is the fact that this also does come with a saddle to actually attach to the bike to put this
0:11
this bike chain away which is nice and also comes with an additional lock to put your helmet there
0:17
too. So this is what comes in the box. This does feel pretty hefty, pretty heavy over here and yeah
0:25
It's actually already inside the saddle itself over here. So just taking a look at this over here, there's going to be this clip over here on this side
0:34
And then same thing on the other side. And then right up top, there would be this Velcro strap
0:40
So I'll go ahead and attach that to my bike shortly. But first, taking a look at the inside of it, right over here, this is where everything else is going to go ahead and be
0:50
And it comes off just like so. and then right in the back there's gonna be one more thing which is gonna be the
0:58
little lock so here's a closer look at the little lock over here and of course
1:03
to go ahead and actually take this off but the password in here which it's
1:07
already set to which is zero zero zero and I just click this and it come right off over here and then i can go ahead and just push this back in and click into the place just like that and it stays
1:17
nice and secure but the main thing we're going to look at is going to be this lock itself so this is
1:24
what the chain looks like itself and this one is definitely bigger than ones i've had in the past
1:28
before it's really thick it appears to be made out of kind of two materials one would be the
1:33
actual metal itself and this screen i think that's like a hard uh plastic potentially but yeah this
1:40
is really really heavy and it's supposed to be anti-theft proof uh anti-cut resistant and the
1:47
only way to actually be able to uh get through this would be with a grinder and so here's going
1:54
to be the head of it over here so it does come with three keys uh which is real nice so to actually
1:58
go ahead and be able to use it, just stick it in, move it, and this lock will automatically
2:03
just come right out. So this is spring loaded, so the minute I go ahead and turn the key
2:08
it just automatically springs out into place. And then I can go ahead and just put the chain
2:15
right over here It nice and secure and I should just be able to just push this and yeah it just locks it in place So yeah it really easy like that to go ahead and actually lock your bike up And then take it out And it just comes right off just like that nice and easy
2:33
And again, here's the saddle, so I'm just going to go ahead and attach it to the bike. So this bag is supposed to clip right on over here, but because this is a really old bike
2:41
this seat doesn't have those little clips up here. So I'll just go ahead and use this other bike right over here
2:47
And it actually does have these metal parts over here, which this will go ahead and just clip onto nicely
2:54
So I can just put it just like this. Clip it on one side
2:59
Then do the same thing for the other side. There. Now the only thing I'm missing would be this Velcro part
3:08
And I could just Velcro it just right around over here. And there
3:14
Now it's nice and tight over here. I loosen these a little bit just so there's enough space and actually go ahead and just put the chain
3:20
in here I can just kind of fold it up as nice as I can just like this and then just stuff it in over
3:27
here and then there are two zippers on both sides and they can just fit just like that and actually I can go ahead and just tighten this a little bit more and there it fits nice and comfortably there Now the only thing missing would be this So if I want to go ahead and put this somewhere I can actually just realistically kind of clip it on over here
3:46
It does have this piece here that I can just put in just like that
3:51
And it won't fall off over. Leave it like that. I can even leave it dangling and it won't go ahead and touch the wheel just because it's got enough clearance
3:58
Otherwise, I might be able to still fit it in over here
4:02
yeah there's still enough space over here so I just kind of tuck it in there nicely
4:07
and there now the only thing I would have to carry just would be on my keys otherwise in the meantime
4:15
I guess I could kind of just stick the keys in there as well too and there everything actually
4:19
fits on this pouch and nicely over here see I'm a real fan of this so far just because the way I
4:24
used to carry my bike chain would have been either in a bag if I was carrying a bag and if I wasn't
4:29
carrying a bag I would have put it just on my handlebars just kind of wrapping it around a few
4:34
times and it'll just be on one of the sides and it can be kind of annoying just because it'll kind
4:38
of dangle or hit it so anyway over here I feel like this would be a much better way to actually
4:42
go ahead and store the bike chain but anyway yeah that's a quick overview of the bike chain with the bag
