Footage released by the Quito Metropolitan District Fire Department showed firefighters using a search camera to locate the trapped woman beneath collapsed debris before beginning a technical rescue operation. The agency said its USAR ECU-01 team was working alongside rescuers from El Salvador at the site. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes struck Venezuela 39 seconds apart on Wednesday, with epicenters near San Felipe and Yumare in Yaracuy state. National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez said the death toll had risen to 1,430, with 3,238 people injured, adding that rescue operations remained underway across the country.
