Nogales, United States - June 05, 2026 U.S. Marines have reinforced sections of the Mexico border barrier with barbed wire during operations in Nogales, Arizona. U.S. Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), carried out barrier reinforcement work along the southern border on June 5, 2026. The operations focused on strengthening existing infrastructure as part of ongoing support for federal law enforcement agencies working along the U.S.-Mexico border. JTF-SB Marines are involved in enhancing barrier systems to support logistical needs in coordination with federal agencies. U.S. Northern Command is working alongside the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection under defined authorities to provide military capabilities aimed at supporting the protection of the territorial integrity of the southern border.
