Speaking at a news conference in Miami, Bielsa reflected on his third World Cup appearance as a coach, saying each edition was unique and difficult to compare because of the changes in football and the different circumstances surrounding every tournament. The coach also said travel disruptions during Uruguay's journey from its training base in Mexico had not affected the team's preparations. The Uruguay and Saudi Arabia national football teams will meet at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on Monday in their opening Group H match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Kick-off is scheduled for 11 p.m. local time.
