The Mexican city, one of the tournament's host venues, is scheduled to stage four matches during the competition. Workers continued installing infrastructure for the Fan Festival in Guadalajara's historic center as the city readied itself for an influx of football fans from around the world. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Mexico, the US and Canada.
