Mexico’s central bank introduced 12 commemorative coins dedicated to the tournament, including circulating coins as well as four gold and four silver collector pieces. Large crowds gathered outside the bank as collectors and football fans waited to purchase the special edition coins marking the upcoming World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
