New Mexico, United States - June 04, 2026 A dense stream of bats pours from the natural entrance of Carlsbad Caverns, circling beneath the limestone arch and over green brush along the cave entrance. The video shows the bats emerging in a thick, steady stream. The mass remains dense for most of the clip, with a few individuals peeling away near the end. The flight lasted around 15 minutes before eventually thinning out. Bat flights can vary, with bats emerging sporadically, in small groups or in dense formations like the one shown. The park’s Brazilian free tailed bats (Tadarida brasiliensis) use the natural entrance each summer. The Bat Cam clip was posted on June 4, 2026. The flight took place the evening before.
