Undercover detectives used solicitation websites and arranged to meet men at a local hotel. When the men arrived expecting to pay for sex, detectives were waiting and made the arrests. The operation, called Operation Back to School, was carried out by the JSO Vice Unit. The sheriff’s office said the goal was to reduce demand for prostitution, which it says fuels human trafficking. The arrests came as detectives focused on men seeking to purchase sex rather than those offering it.
