US, Phoenix: Mesa Caballero Street Shooting Investigation.

Phoenix, United States - May 16, 2026 05/16/2026 04:29 am GMT-0700 MESA, Ariz. – The Mesa Police Department and the Mesa Fire Department responded to reports of a person shot in the 4700 block of East Caballero Street just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, police and firefighters arrived and located an adult male victim in serious condition suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area hospital by Mesa fire personnel. Police were seen speaking to a woman in handcuffs who was ultimately released. Her relation to the shooting is currently unknown. No additional information was immediately available.
