US, Los Angeles: Hansen Dam Bear In Tree Draws Crowd With Sound On Tape Part 3.

Los Angeles, United States - May 04, 2026 05/03/2026 03:45 p.m. GMT-0700 Hansen Dam – A bear in a tree drew a crowd Sunday afternoon at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area. The bear was reported shortly before 4 p.m. in the 11800 block of Foothill Boulevard. The Los Angeles Police Department and park rangers responded to the area as the bear remained high in the tree and continued moving around. The bear jumped down after some time and ran through the park, where it has now climbed another tree. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has now arrived on scene. Less lethal rounds have been fired at the bear. A witness told Key News the bear was walking the area before climbing in the tree. Authorities remained on scene while crowds gathered nearby. No injuries were immediately reported.
