VARIOUS DRONE SHOTS OF WILD HORSES IZMIR, TÜRKIYE - JUNE 10: The Gediz Delta, one of Türkiye's largest wetland ecosystems, is experiencing increased wildlife activity following a rainy season that brought above-average precipitation to the region. Protected under the Ramsar Convention, the delta saw the formation of new freshwater areas after heavy winter and spring rains, attracting migratory bird species that prefer freshwater habitats, including ducks and coots. The increase in available habitats has boosted biodiversity across the delta, which is home to numerous bird species including flamingos, herons, pelicans, bee-eaters, black storks, pied avocets, spur-winged lapwings and marsh harriers. Foals born to the area's protected wild horses during the spring season have also added to the vibrant natural landscape of the delta, one of Türkiye's most important wildlife reserves.
