VARIOUS OF SNAKE EAGLE REACTING TO REPEATED ATTACKS BY THE SMALL SHRIKEBURSA, TÜRKIYE - AUG. 13: A striking wildlife encounter was captured in Türkiye's Karacabey floodplain forests on Aug. 13, where a tiny red-backed shrike repeatedly challenged a much larger snake eagle. The snake eagle, one of the region's largest birds of prey with a wingspan of around two meters, was targeted by the 15-centimeter shrike as it tried to protect its nest. The smaller bird repeatedly flew around the eagle and carried out persistent harassment flights, forcing the predator to abandon its perch. After enduring the attacks for some time, the snake eagle eventually moved away and landed on another branch.
