DELEGATION LEAVINGISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE - MAY 12: A delegation led by Belgian Queen Mathilde visited the Central Bank of Türkiye’s Istanbul Financial Center campus on Tuesday, May 12, as part of the Belgian Economic Mission to Türkiye. Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas and Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan accompanied the delegation during the visit on the third day of the Istanbul program. The delegation later departed from the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye’s Istanbul Financial Center campus. Türkiye and Belgium are set to explore new avenues of cooperation across key sectors, including defense and energy, during a high-level economic mission led by Belgium’s Queen Mathilde from May 10 to 14. The delegation is expected to hold extensive economic and trade talks covering areas such as energy, defense industries, logistics connectivity, and transportation.
