Syria: U.S.-Saudi Consortium Begins Syrian Oil.

Al Hasakah, Syria - August 12, 2026 Survey trucks operated by an American company have begun geological surveying in the Hasakah province of northeastern Syria, local witnesses said. Two Saudi Arabian and three U.S.-based firms said they had formed a consortium for oil and gas exploration in the area.
