Syria: Syrian Forces Take Over Kurdish Positions.

Al Hasakah, Syria - September 03, 2026 Syrian Internal Security Forces and military police are continuing to deploy in Hasakah under the agreement with the Kurdish-led SDF, taking over security and military positions. Local reports said Qamishli and al-Malikiyah are next, completing the transfer of SDF-controlled security points to the Syrian state. The deployment follows the 2026 agreement to integrate SDF forces and institutions into Syria’s state structures.
