Syria: Return of Displaced Kurds to Nothern Syria Disrupted by Attacks.

Al Hasakah, Syria - August 11, 2026 The return of displaced Kurdish families to Ras al-Ain (Serekaniye) in northern Hasakah was disrupted after residents reportedly attacked and vandalized vehicles in the return convoy. Local reports said some of the targeted vehicles were accused of being affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The incident came as more than 400 families began returning to the area after years of displacement.
