CALL TO PRAYER BEING RECITED AT MASJID AL-HARAM, MUSLIMS GATHERING TO PRAY MECCA, SAUDI ARABIA - MAY 20, 2026: Crews carried out cleaning operations in the tawaf area of the Kaaba, where Muslims from around the world gather to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. The Masjid al-Haram and its surrounding areas, where Muslim pilgrims spend a large part of their time, were prepared for the upcoming Hajj rituals and the expected increase in crowds in the coming days. Hajj, the pilgrimage to Islam's holiest site Kaaba in Mecca, is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims are required to perform it at least once in their life if they have the means to do so.
