VARIOUS OF FUNERAL CEREMONY BEING HELDGAZA, PALESTINE - MAY 25: Palestinians in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, held funeral prayers on May 25 for two people killed in an Israeli airstrike on a camp sheltering displaced civilians in the Al-Mawasi area despite an ongoing ceasefire in the enclave. The victims were identified as 31-year-old Hanan Mahmoud and 6-year-old Menatallah Abu Labda. They were killed when Israeli forces struck the Ghays Camp, where displaced Palestinians had taken shelter. The strike hit the densely populated Ghayes Camp in Al-Mawasi, where large numbers of displaced Palestinians have been staying. Wounded Palestinians, including children, were brought to Nasser Hospital for treatment following the attack. Medical teams were also seen treating an injured baby, while the bodies of Palestinians killed in the strike, including a child, were transferred from the hospital. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 883 people have been killed and 2,648 others injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire was announced. The agreement was meant to halt Israel’s two-year war that killed more than 72,000 people, most of them women and children, injured over 172,000 since October 2023, and caused massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure.. At least 20 others, most of them women and children, were injured in the attack.
