VARIOUS OF RIDI SPEAKING WITH REPORTERSQUSRA, WEST BANK, PALESTINE - AUG. 18, 2026: A Palestinian-American man confronted an Israeli settler in Qusra, in the occupied West Bank's Nablus area, on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Loui Ridi, who had returned from the United States, got into a tense confrontation with an Israeli settler near his home. The two men filmed each other on their mobile phones as they argued, while Israeli military vehicles arrived at the scene. The Israeli army and occupiers have escalated attacks on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023. Palestinian, Israeli and international rights reports say dozens of Palestinians from several West Bank communities have been forced to leave their areas due to Israeli military measures and occupier attacks.
