Italy: Fire Crews Battle Coastal Pine Forest Blaze In Sardinia.

Aglientu, Italy - July 14, 2026 Firefighters continued working on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, to contain a wildfire that has been burning since the afternoon in the coastal pine forest along the SP 90 road between Naracu Nieddu and Monti Russu in the municipality of Aglientu. Teams from Santa Teresa Gallura, Valledoria, Tempio, and the Sassari central headquarters were deployed to the scene as operations remained underway. Two Canadair aircraft from the National Fire Corps aerial fleet were also involved in the firefighting effort. Helicopters and personnel from the Sardinia Region's wildfire service joined the operation as crews continued battling the flames in the coastal woodland area.
