The sharp rise in temperatures since June has led to greater use of air conditioners and cooling systems, placing additional strain on the electricity grid and causing frequent blackouts across many neighborhoods. Recurring power outages are further disrupting daily life in Baghdad, forcing many residents to rely on private generators and adding to the financial burden on households.
