Balipujariput, India - September 26, 2026 Heavy rainfall triggered a landslide between Malliguda and Chhatriput railway stations on the Koraput-Kirandul line in Odisha on September 26. Red soil and debris covered the tracks, leaving sections of the railway line suspended above the damaged hillside. Excavators, cranes and railway workers were seen clearing debris from the forested area as passenger and freight services on the affected route were disrupted.
