A woman passenger was pulled to safety after she fell beneath a moving train at a railway station in northern India, in a dramatic rescue that unfolded within minutes. Railway personnel quickly stopped the train and reached the trapped passenger before she could suffer serious injury. The incident occurred at Prayagraj Junction station in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh on September 27, between 22:11 and 22:16 IST. Visuals show the woman losing her balance while attempting to get off the moving train, slipping onto the platform and ending up beneath it. Railway personnel quickly rush towards the train and carefully pull her away from the danger. RPSF Assistant Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kumar Haritwal, along with constables Pravesh Kumar and Basant of the force’s 2nd Battalion, immediately responded to the emergency. They pulled the emergency chain, bringing the train to a halt. The personnel then reached the woman, who had fallen underneath the train, and carefully brought her out to safety. Their coordinated response helped prevent a potentially fatal accident. The rescue was carried out under Operation Jeevan Raksha, an initiative focused on protecting passengers during life-threatening railway emergencies. The passengers later expressed gratitude to the personnel. Railway authorities urged passengers to never attempt boarding or alighting from a moving train and to wait until the train has completely stopped. Restriction:Not Distributable in Germany.
