India: Paralysed Man Rescued After Venomous Snake Coils Around His Arm in Odisha Village.

Baudhgarh, India - June 01, 2026 A frightening incident has emerged from Odisha’s Boudh district, where a paralysed elderly man was rescued after a venomous snake tightly coiled itself around his arm while he slept. The incident took place in Adenigada village under Harabhanga block, involving Krushna Chandra Sahu, who suffers from paralysis and has limited mobility on one side of his body. According to reports, Krushna was sleeping inside his house with a window left open when the snake reportedly entered the room during the night and crawled onto his body. Moments later, the elderly man realised the reptile was on him, but due to his paralysed condition, he was unable to move quickly or escape. As he struggled, the snake wrapped itself tightly around his arm and also coiled around a nearby chair. Hearing his cries for help, family members rushed into the room and were left shocked by the scene. They carefully tried to free him from the snake without provoking it further. After nearly two hours of tense efforts, the family successfully managed to remove the snake and rescue Krushna safely. Fortunately, no injuries or snakebite were reported in the incident. The dramatic rescue has since drawn attention in the area, with locals expressing concern over snakes entering homes during the current season.
