The child, identified as Gagan Sindhu, had accompanied her parents to a clothing store at Pillappa Complex. According to preliminary information, the parents were shopping inside the store while the child was playing near the first-floor corridor. CCTV footage shows her attempting to climb the grill before she suddenly loses her balance and plunges into the basement area below. The critically injured girl was first rushed to a nearby hospital and was later shifted to a specialised hospital in Bengaluru for advanced treatment. Doctors say she remains in critical condition. Police have begun investigating the incident and are reviewing the CCTV footage to establish the exact sequence of events. The family is reportedly from Gollaradoddi village in Chikkaballapur taluk.
