Event held in Gaza for distribution of Eid clothes to orphan children.

.DEIR AL-BALAH, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 25, 2026: At the Maghazi Camp in the central Gaza Strip, the Türkiye based Osmanoglu Foundation organized an event to distribute Eid clothes for orphan children and children of displaced families. The event aimed to bring a smile to the children’s faces and alleviate the difficulties they face even if only slightly, ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the most important Islamic holidays, commemorating the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. Muslims mark the occasion with prayer, feasting, and acts of charity. The Israeli army has continued attacks across Gaza on almost a daily basis despite the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 883 people have been killed and 2,648 others injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire was announced. The agreement was meant to halt Israel’s two-year war that killed more than 72,000 people, most of them women and children, injured over 172,000 since October 2023, and caused massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure.
