On April 15, 2026, in Nanchong, Sichuan, the surveillance video captured a forklift unexpectedly moving backwards across a parking lot before crashing into a stationary ambulance nearby. At the beginning of the footage, the forklift had been parked alone in the company compound with nobody operating it. Seconds later, the vehicle suddenly started moving in reverse on its own, leaving nearby workers visibly startled. The video showed the forklift slowly gaining momentum as it rolled backwards across the open parking space.
