Mianyang, China - August 19, 2026 This is the terrifying moment that a road suddenly collapsed just seconds after a large truck drove over it in China, forcing a vehicle behind to brake sharply before reaching the newly formed sinkhole. On August 20, 2026, in Mianyang, Sichuan, the video captured the dangerous moment when a section of road suddenly gave way after a large truck passed through the area. Dashcam footage showed the truck travelling ahead normally before the road surface behind it abruptly collapsed. A large hole quickly opened across part of the roadway, leaving the driver of the following vehicle with almost no time to react. The driver immediately slammed on the brakes as the vehicle approached the collapsed section. It managed to stop just short of the edge of the deep hole, narrowly avoiding plunging into the damaged roadway. The video ended with the vehicle safely stopped at the edge of the collapsed road as the large hole remained directly in front of it.
