【Voice_over】 Specialty sightseeing trains are gathering steam across China this summer, linking scenic routes with cultural experiences. In east China's Fujian Province, the Wuyishan National Park sightseeing train is turning the journey into the main attraction. The train features carriages repurposed into five themed areas, including a camping lounge and a play-room for kids. On board, passengers can sip renowned Wuyi rock tea while learning about the region's biodiversity and trying their hand at the traditional folk art of dough figurine modelling. 【Sound_bite】 Tourist: "This train goes right through the Wuyi Mountains, so you can sit here freely and enjoy the scenery outside the window." 【Voice_over】 In southwest China's Yunnan Province, a century-old meter-gauge line has been revived. The small trains thread through terraced fields, villages and farmland, tying together landscapes, heritage and local industries. Business owners say it has helped boost both foot traffic and sales. 【Sound_bite】 Local vendor: "Since the little train started running, our business turnover has roughly doubled, and foot traffic has also increased a lot." 【Voice_over】 Data shows that from January to July this year, China operated a total of 1,327 sightseeing trains and tourist routes, transporting more than two million passengers and driving approximately 440 million U.S. dollars in consumption.
