VARIOUS OF BANNERS AND FANS OUTSIDE COURT BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA - JUNE 9, 2026: The 19th hearing in the trial investigating the death of football legend Diego Maradona took place at the San Isidro courthouse in Argentina on Tuesday, Jun. 9. Maradona’s daughter Dalma Maradona, Swiss Medical home-care supervisor Nancy Forlini and physician Gabriel Charosky testified during the hearing. Prosecutors are seeking to determine whether members of the medical team responsible for Maradona’s home hospitalization acted negligently in the days leading up to his death in November 2020. Maradona, who famously led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup title, died on November 25, 2020, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, just days after undergoing brain surgery. Prosecutors contend that his death was not inevitable and would have been avoided had he received proper care from the accused healthcare professionals.
